SUNDAY AD SPECIALS-Electronics

In a search for the best prices you can find in the world of electronics, gadgets, and entertainment devices the Sunday paper should be first on your list of places to check. This week, I've found a couple you might find interesting.

If your looking for an entry level Portable DVD Player, Circuit City is advertising a 5.8" screen Initial brand player for $179.99. This is a great price for a decent sized screen. No rebates to worry about sending in before the deadline. Just plunk down 180 bucks and you'll have a decent DVD player. There are dozens of players on the market ranging in size and price. For a first time user this is worth taking a look.

Office Depot can get your networked for under $30. Netgear Cable/DSL Wireless 802.11b Firewall Router with a 4-port switch for only 29.99. Netgear is a good brand and the wireless router is simple to install and use. The price does include two separate rebates for Netgear and Office Depot. These mail are mail-in rebates and cannot be done online. Still, at this price there is no reason why everyone with a computer hasn't gone wireless.

If your needing an external hard drive than check out the 80GB USB 2.0/Firewire by Western Digital. Only $99.99 after two mail in rebates. For the typical internal you'll find prices at about $1 a GB and less, but on external's this is usually considerably higher. In this case, Western Digital is offering a drive at barely over the standard internal hard drive price. If an internal is what you're looking for then turn to Fry's Electronics. They are offering a 160 GB internal hard drive with 8 MB buffer also by Western Digital for $84.99 after mail in rebate.

If you're in the market for a new PC keep watching the ad's. In the next couple of weeks you should find the Intel price drop to serious lower the price of PC's. For the same money you would've spent a couple of months ago on a 2.4 P4 you'll be able to get a 2.8 or better. Unless you absolutely need a computer today hold off and wait a little longer. I believe you'll be happy you did.

Make sure and check back each week on Monday to see the latest and greatest from the Sunday paper Ad's.
