Apple

Apple vs. PC?

This debate has raged on for years now between the cultist followers of the Apple and the large segment of PC users. Until recently, I've never considered the question seriously. Apple only has five percent of the market share on computer use and you can't use Apple programs on the Mac. Two major reasons I've never thought seriously about becoming a convert.

The world has changed significantly. Especially for Windows users. With weekly security exploits revealed in Windows XP, I've been prompted to ask the question, is Mac better?

This is only the beginning of my research into this topic. I don't want to throw down at the least, two thousand dollars on a system that doesn't do what I want. If anyone has any good resources to measure the pluses and minuses of PC vs. Mac please feel free to e-mail me. As a techie I'm severely uneducated on the Mac and could use any help you're willing to give.
