The fast paced and ever changing world of the Internet never ceases to amaze. Bloggers have been around for countless years. Blogs are running rampant across the internet, filling website after website with daily ramblings of everyone from the barely coherent to the idiot savant. A few years ago, even I tried to do some blogging of my own. It didn't work. My internal censor laid siege to the Muse. Her arms broken and busted, I found it difficult to get past the loathing I had for such personal forays into the rambling brook of daily dribble. Who cares what happened to me today? Who wants to read about what I had for breakfast or what I think the meaning of life really is? There are a host of questions to be answered and most of them aren't even attempted in the average blog. Of course, I don't know if most people really give a sh*t about these things. The Socratic conversation has been replaced by water cooler television and romances of the bright and beautiful in Hollywood.

At the behest of my site manager, Simon, I've been asked to give blogging another try. As, I've been told, if I want this website to be taken seriously then we have to have a blog. (I'm not sure if I take this website seriously, so I don't know if I expect everyone else to. However, I'll leave that conversation for another time.) Here, I am, helping Simon and his staff, (two people) make JMARCUSROSS.COM (shameless plug) into a serious website. And before anyone thinks otherwise, I do appreciate the work everyone does on this website. I just can't take myself to seriously. I write for a living, I write for fun, and I enjoy what I do. Publicity is such a fickle thing and there are a million self important writers out there trying to get noticed. I'd like to think I'm different.
